At Lollapalooza

Coming to you live and direct from the AT&T Oasis at Lollapalooza. Just saw The Subways, the first band of the day, and they were fantastic.

Yesterday, I took a trip down the Red Line to Wrigley Field and saw the Cubs lose to the Diamondbacks 10-2. I got a seat in the bleachers at Wrigley for $10 under face value, so I was happy. The seventh inning stretch is a tradition at Wrigley, and they do it right: EVERYBODY gets up and sings along. It was beautiful.

A full line-up of music tonight, but I'll try to update again later.

In Chicago

We have just arrived in Chicago. The bus had a brief layover in Almost Madison, where we found a store named Naughty Novelties, which advertised a bakery. There was no bakery.

I also fulfilled a lifelong goal and bought a package of beef jerky in Wisconsin. We saw numerous fireworks places and cheese signs. And even a Fireworks Cheese sign.

Off To Chicago

Tomorrow, I leave Minneapolis abord a bus bound for Chicago. Five days of fun in Chicago, culminating with three days at the Lollapalooza music festival.

With any luck, I can find free internet access often enough to come here and post updates on my trip.
